The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to light the increased need for behavioral health services. Children are exceptionally vulnerable to the long-lasting negative effects of mental distress if conditions are untreated or unmanaged. The pandemic has caused disruptions in routines and learning, as well as social isolation for children, all of which can affect their mental health throughout their entire lives. Approximately 1 out of 5 children in the US experience a mental disorder and of these children, 38 million are enrolled in Medicaid or Children鈥檚 Health Insurance Plan (CHIP).[],[]
